I’m awake, and cloud cover momentarily lightened, so I took a few shots of the Moon with Mars close by (and at or just past opposition: its closest approach to the Earth)…. At least it had damn well better be Mars; it was the only other thing in the sky I could see – apart from clouds 
Just a little compact camera, and the (just past) full Moon is very very bright – especially compared to Mars.
