Happy New Year
I was going to write that it’s somewhat odd I’m wishing you my readers a Happy New Year, when I’m much more a Christmas person than a New Year’s person … but then realised it makes perfect sense; I was too busy with family on Christmas to go blogging, but here it is New Year’s Eve, and I’m about to turn off the laptop and go to sleep – at not quite 11pm 
Anyway, tonight there is a Blue Moon: a second full moon in one month. I think that’s a pretty cool way to mark a New Year … except that we’ve got a lot of cloud cover here, and consequently I can’t see hide nor hair of the Moon.
I did however, see some beautiful clouds, with a bit of a rainbow thrown in the mix as well: not a bad consolation prize at all 
So, Happy New Year all (and happy new decade if you believe it 
). I hope you’re lucky enough to see the Blue Moon (I’ve just popped out and had a look at it shining through the clouds – still pretty cool ), or at least take the time to look around at some of the beauty in the world.
