I got a message on my YouTube channel for a dude named named Tom. Tom is from Ultimate Blues Backing Tracks and it seems for some reason liked my videos on YouTube – I’m guessing probaby my recent “5am Blues” one:
Tom offered me all their backing tracks – which sound really good, by the way – in return for me recording videos of myself playing over ten of their backing tracks. I thought that sounded like fun – and I’m always up for playing more if I can – so I accepted.
So now I’ve downloaded the ten tracks he’d like me to play over, and had a preliminary skim through them. They’re really nice. For one of them I think I’ll have to keep Muddy Waters’ singing in mind, as that’s the style of playing that occurred to me as I listened. There are a couple that sound like 60s bluesy pop or classic rock, a Hendrix flavoured one, a Chuck Berry intro needed on one, an SRV style one, some straight-ahead blues … Good stuff I’ll enjoy this.
I could easily over-think them though, so I’ll just probably go for a first take over every one – barring any truly hideous clangers. 
With the rest of life to take care of I’ll probably be doing these over the next 2-3 weeks or so.

well done mate… only problem is to set the alarm for 05:00 everyday to get those takes in… for me the bluest time though is 04:00… when the despair squid arrives…
